Welcome to the Collaborative, a center for community-based learning, service, and public scholarship
We invite you to participate in the work and programs of the Collaborative, to contribute to the well-being of the local community and solve local and global problems through research, scholarship, service, and social action.
The Collaborative features courses, community-based action research, partnerships among students, faculty, and community organizations, and varied and creative forums for civic engagement and public scholarship.
Students can find out about service-learning, mentoring, and leadership opportunities linked to course work, become Rutgers Civic Scholars, join the Collaborative’s Student Council, and work for and contribute to our new On-Line Journal; faculty can find collaborators and partners in public scholarship and experiential teaching and contribute to our Journal; community partners can participate in our Advancing Community Development program and improve their organizational structure and capacity, and use our Journal to share accomplishments and get help with problem solving; and much more.
Join our mission and share in our vision. The Collaborative belongs to everyone who is ready to share and contribute.
